In case you wanted to know where everything comes from, or perhaps have time to kill and go to the source material of everything, here is a compilation of all the sources I drew inspiration for the site from:
Darker Than Black
An anime. First season only. The main inspiration of the original Let Them Bleed site. From here I was inspired to do Contractors, Dolls, Messier Signs, and the Contracts/Payments.
Zetsuen no Tempest
An anime. From here I had the idea of the Tree of Death as well as all the Tempest references.
Repo: the Genetic Opera
Under City and its dealings were part inspired by this wonderful movie.
Fatal Frame II and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni
A video game and an anime respectively. The inspirations behind Shinigami Village. The idea of child sacrifices, twins, and curses. The spring festival is based loosely off of the Celtic holiday Beltane.
Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress
An anime. The main inspiration behind the Yureiressha. Also, Yureiressha is Japanese for "ghost train".
H.P. Lovecraft
The main inspiration behind Mikasa University, aka, Miskatonic University. His short stories have always been a huge part of my life, and I couldn't resist the idea of making a roleplay based off his school. Y'all can have Harry Potter, I got Elder Gods to deal with.
Outlast, Outlast: Whistleblower, and The Evil Within
A LOT of video games inspired Kenopsia Labs, but I have to give a nod to these three as they were the biggest inspirations for the horror I wish to unleash.
So thanks for reading. If you think that I may have pulled inspiration from other sources, you're probably right. I pull bits and pieces of everything from everything. That's how inspiration works. But I do my best to try and keep things as original as possible. I have written this out as a sort of disclaimer, but in no way, shape, or form is this site meant to be a fannon roleplay.
